I’m a Florida-based writer with a passion for storytelling, research, and creating content that makes a real impact. Born and raised in the Sunshine State, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Central Florida with dreams of writing for a lifestyle or fashion magazine. While local opportunities in that space were limited, I quickly discovered another path that shaped my career in unexpected—and rewarding—ways.
My first professional writing role was as a copywriter for a company that helped martial arts schools connect with their customers. It was there that I learned the fundamentals of writing with purpose and clarity. From there, I transitioned into a role supporting a network of rehab and mental health facilities, and that’s where I was able to transform my creativity into creating content that helped people find the support they needed. This position was incredibly fulfilling and taught me how powerful words can be.
In 2019, I joined a private university in Orlando, Florida, where I’ve worked in a variety of roles—from admissions to student advocacy to digital communications. Today, I’m proud to be part of the university’s in-house marketing and ad agency, writing for our internal website. I love collaborating with different departments and diving into research to create resources that help students and staff find what they need—quickly and clearly.
This year, I joined the Women’s Leadership Initiative to keep growing, meet new colleagues, and develop skills I might not otherwise explore. Outside of work, I’m chasing my two young daughters (ages two and four), soaking up Florida’s natural beauty, and dreaming of finishing a book I hope to publish one day. I’m also a firm believer in balancing research-driven writing with the kind of content that just brings people joy—whether that’s a heartfelt story, a useful guide, or a little inspiration.
My goal is to continue evolving as a writer, exploring new subjects, industries, and formats. I’m always up for a new challenge—especially one that involves curiosity, creativity, and connection.
